Report of the EDCTP-WHO kick-off meeting for the project to develop en strengthen the national health research systems in sub-Saharan Africa. The meeting was held in Accra, Ghana, on 9-10 July 2018 and prepared for an assessment of national health research systems (NHRSs) in sub-Saharan Africa through use of the NHRS ‘barometer’ developed by WHO AFRO.
