The PEDVAC-iNTS consortium held its first annual consortium meeting on 2 March 2022. PEDVAC-iNTS is a public-private consortium of seven partners who aim to advance a novel vaccine against Invasive non-typhoidal salmonellosis (iNTS) a pediatric phase I/II study in Ghana. The project discussed the project’s progress and plans. Ms Michelle Nderu, EDCTP Project Officer, attended the meeting and presented EDCTP’s expectations from PEDVAC-iNTS. The consortium was also introduced to the newly formed PEDVAC-iNTS Ethics and Advisory Board. After the consortium meeting, the board members met to discuss the project’s progress and made recommendations on trial implementation and ethics issues to monitor closely.
