Global Evidence Summit – Using evidence. Improving lives

13 September 2017 - 16 September 2017
Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), Cape Town, South Africa
Type of event International meeting
Scope Use of reliable research evidence in addressing health and social challenges

The event aims to advance the use of reliable research evidence in addressing some of the world’s most serious health and social challenges. In situations of scarcity, it is particularly important that resources are not wasted on useless or harmful interventions. It is therefore fitting that this unique gathering of world leaders in evidence-based practice, policy, methodology, and advocacy, from five international organizations, will be taking place in Africa. We are confident it will make a meaningful contribution to furthering our shared vision of a healthier and more equitable world.

The meeting will hosted by Cochrane South Africa. It is organised in collaboration by Cochrane, The Campbell Collaboration, the Guidelines International Network, the International Society for Evidence-based Health Care, and the Joanna Briggs Institute.

EDCTP will be represented at the conference by several staff members and have an information booth in the exhibition area.
